What an angel

Everybody tells me what an angel my granddaughter Taylor is, and I agree. And now I have proof; check out that beautiful blonde halo! Or, is she just having a bad hair day.
Thanks for sending me these pics Michele, it helps keep us close to you while being so far away.

Ultrasound

I just received a picture of my soon to be newest grandchild! Michele also sent me an Elk snack treat, I can't wait to try it.
Michele has picked out a coupla nice names depending on what the baby turns out to be;
Nikolas Blake for a boy and Jessica Ashleigh for a girl. I think she's hoping for another girl. I don't care as long as the baby and Michele are healthy.

It's open for business!

I am beat! The kid's bathroom is finally done. No more whining about the bathroom being gross. Now we have to see if the kids really appreciate all this time, effort and money by keeping it clean!
We had a contractor do all the installations (tub, toilet, sink, vanity and the two cabinets) and I finished up with the painting and hanging the shower curtain rod, toilet paper holder and towel rod. Our contractor Steve, of Skill Builders is the best! He got the job done quickly, properly and at a great price! Cassie and I will definitely use him again for contracting work.
The only thing left to do is recover from the work I did.

The bathroom's almost done!

When Cassie and I bought our house two years ago we had a lot of remodeling to do. We had most of it done by a ne'er-do-well contractor Named Joe Cline, owner of TLC Construction here in Beautiful Browns mills, NJ. We have since learned our lesson and now are very careful about who we hire. One of the things we needed to do was the downstairs kids bathroom. It was ugly! We even entered it in a contest for the ugliest bathroom. It is hard to believe we didn't win.

It looks like I have a secret weapon to get Michele to send me pictures of her gang of kids. I just have to mention it in my blog!
Here's the latest pictures of my terrific grandkiddies from Tennessee.

I'm not sure what Taylor was up to, but she sure looks sheepish, and Michele has that mommy look on her face.

Oh by the way, yesterday was Mr. Spock's Birthday he is 73

Where's my pictures?

My daughter promised to send me some pictures of my grandkids last night, and here it is morning and no pictures. What's up Michele?

Before I married my darling Cassie, I seemed to have a strong distaste for cats. When Cassie and I Married, she brought into my life three children and two cats. I adore these cats (the kids too!) The rest of my family think I've lost my mind because of the kitties, but secretly I've always wanted an orange cat. Do you remember the cartoon Calvin and Hobbes? I can identify with Calvin because I am so much like him. I even had an imaginary friend, although I didn't call him Hobbes. I always wanted my own Hobbes. I can't get another cat just yet because my daughter Heidi has allergies and one more animal would send her over the edge, but someday....
I downloaded this picture of the perfect cat for me from the Internet.
I would name him Hobbes.
Here he is.

PI day

Kristin's school celebrated PI.jpg (PI=3.1416) day today. The kids were allowed to dress up as something relating to the sound "Pi" (as in pie) They also had to bring in a pie to share. Kristin decided to dress up as a pirate. One of her favorite characters is Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in Pirates of the Carribean. So she asked me to make an iron on transfer of him for her T-shirt. We searched the internet together for a good picture of "Jack" and printed out the transfer. She did the rest herself, that Kristin is a very creative kid, Check out these pics.
