It is still Monday as I write this. The assault weapons ban ends today. Do you think it should?

I don?t think it should but it doesn?t make any difference what I think.

Some people have claimed that no law is better than a faulty law. For example, the current law bans AK-47s but gun manufacturers can issue weapons that slightly differ from the AK-47 and suddenly be legal. Does this invalidate the current law, or is having some weapons banned better than having none?

Yeah, this is the argument I hear too. I think that it?s stupid to ban semi-automatics when the automatics could still be purchased but I guess having some banned was better than having none. What do people need with semi-automatics and automatics anyway? It?s obvious they are not for animal hunting ? just people hunting

And finally, if you could write your own weapons ban law, what would you ban?

Well, this is just me but I?d ban all guns except for the ones the police carry. Yeah, I know, criminals can get the guns anywhere they please ? it?s like drugs.

So let?s make them all legal and let?s all get cards to carry them down the street. Let's stockpile them in our basements. Let's shoot them off on holidays and let's shoot all the varmints in the neighborhood, including the stray dogs and cats. :P What the hell.
