A very happy day

This was a happy day Smile
I was going to let John sleep in as late as he wanted, as it is his only day off.
But he surprised me by popping up and out by 7:30 to go get new tires on the car.
Before he left he made a pot of coffee for me. He's a very good husband.

My Mom and Dad called to wish me a happy birthday. We had a wonderful talk.
My Mom was upset though. Her card hasn't arrived yet and she took care, as
she usually does to get it in the mail early.

John was home by 10:30 and we talked over what to do. He wanted to take me out
to a movie and dinner for my b-day. Along with Robbie, Melissa and her fiance Trent.
We'd seen all the movies I wanted to see that are out, so I picked a movie I knew
John wanted to see. Collateral. I didn't think I'd like it. But I did. A very good, edge
of your seat movie. I won't give away any details, in case any of you will be going
to see it. As always we had good pop corn and sodas Smile

After we went to Outback. They're know for their steaks, but I wanted a big deluxe
hamburger. I had that with a baked potato. yum! We had a fun time at dinner.

Then home for gifts, cards and chocolate cake! My sister surprised me by sending
a card this year. I got 3 DVDs, a gift card for a clothing store I like, Dark Shadows
videos and a book.

Then the kids wanted to play cards. We had a high old time playing a game that is
sort of like UNO. Laughing and cutting up. I couldn't believe that John and the kids
would eat salsa and chips after everything we'd already had to eat, especially after
cake and ice cream, but they did! I have all these tomatoes from the garden, so
I thought, why waste them. This was the second half gallon of salsa Melissa and I
have made. And it's almost gone. I'm tickled my family like it so much. And it
is a healthly snack too.;)
This is a day to tuck in my memory box. Smile

:55: I'm glad to hear that your Birthday was a big success Donna. On my 50th Cassie and Linnie threw me a supprise party, I figured it out way before the party and still had a good time. For some reason though my brothers and sister thought it would be a good idea to bring "gag" gifts. You know, anti fart spray, a cane, geezer tweezers, Centrum Silver and other amusing things of that nature. Like they thought I was an old fart or some thing. As if! :D

Hey Donna,
I'm glad to hear you had such a nice birthday! :D Thanks for not giving away collateral damage. We wanted to see that today I think. If all of us go it'll be a :56: in the van! :13:
