Catwoman
Have you ever watched a movie that you thought would be great and exciting only to find out it was dumb?
I get up at a quarter to five every day for work. It is hard to stay asleep after five in the morning for me, it has become so routine. So this morning I woke up at five, wide awake got up and made some coffee. Ok, it's Sunday what should I do. So I surfed the web for a bit, played Spider Solitaire until I couldn't stand it any longer, then looked to the TV to see what I had saved on the DVR or what was on cable. Nothing! So I surfed the pay-per-view channels until I found Catwoman.![]()
Now I like Halle Berry and so I settled in on the couch with my 24 ouncer coffee cup and spent $3.99 and an hour and 45 minutes wasting my time.
The special effects weren't so bad, and Halle was cute, but the plot STUNK! The only reason I watched it to the end was I paid almost four dollars for it and I hoped that it would redeem itself somewhere along the line.
Nope it stunk the whole way through.
Halle is a graphics designer (artist wanabe) for a cosmetics company who tries to rescue a cat outside her apartment. This is a SPECIAL cat, an Egyptian Temple cat who is testing her to see if she is worth the gift, Midnight (the cat) will give her.
Halle discovers that her boss' product is toxic and gets killed in the process. Ahhh but wait! The cats bring her back to life, with a twist, cat powers!
Halle meets a guy, becomes Catwoman goes after the evil empire of womens cosmetics, saves her friend, gets the guy, who beds her then arrests her, discovers her secret identity, proves her innocence of the murder crimes, who she then dumps so she can be Catwoman who "When she is good, she is very good, but when she is bad she is better!" Actually she sad "bad as she wants to be," but I took it to mean the same.
Sharon Stone, the evil villainess in the movie (another actress whose movies I liked) also stunk.
I grew up watching the original Batman with Julie Newmar as the Catwoman and I have to say she was just Purrrrrfect.
