Home Alone!

Billy has been accepted to a few good colleges; RIT, Georgia Tech and RPI. Cassie left Friday night with the kids to go visit RPI in New York. I stayed home to keep an eye on the pets. Oh! and because I have a "wonderful" sinus infection.

So everything has gone well in spite of the painful disease that has invaded my sinus'. and I just got a call from my sweetie informing me that they are on their way back home. There is a note of synchronicity involved though not a good one. Cassie developed a severe case of laryngitis on the way up to NY. Wow! I guess we are totally in sync with each other. Anyway I'll be so happy to have them back home. It's very lonely without all the noise (you know the typical teenage fighting, bickering and stuff). Am I nuts!

This morning I got an idea that I would make some spiced ginger. See the recipe HERE The aroma of the ginger cooking has filled the house and it is wonderful! I have to let it cool and then refrigerate overnight before I can taste it, maybe! Next time I think I'll try a recipe for homemade ginger ale.

On another note; I haven't posted very much on the situation with my daughter Linda. She is out of the house now. As much as I miss my grandson Little T, I don't miss Linda and that's a shame. She is still playing the "victim" and continues to disown any responsibility in her actions. She wants to do what she wants to do, period. I only hope Little T isn't the one who suffers the consequences. I can honestly say that the day after she left the mood in the house changed for the better. Like a weight has been lifted.

why aren't you and your wife trying to get custody of thomas? if you are so worried about him it would be the right thing to do, wouldn't it?

Yes, it is the right thing to do. But, New Jersey in it's twisted wisdom, has deemed it necessary to cancel out any granparent rights and the only way we can get custody is if Linda gives it to us, and that ain't a happenin'.

We called our lawyer and DYFS imediately upon her leaving the house and here it is almost three weeks and they can't find her.

We have repeatedly told them she's living with her boyfriend in a crowded and dangerous condition and they shrug and say when thay go to see here she's not there. The New Jersey courts are against us, the grandparents.

If you have any ideas, we'd love to here them.
