My daughter's ex-boyfriend just won't quit!

Linda and Kennan were going together for about three years, They lived with his parents in a small three bedroom house. In the house were Kennan, Linda and Kennan's parents, Kennan's sister and husband and their three children. It was cramped beyond belief and Linda felt trapped. With no car, no job and a boyfriend that refused to take care of her. Then Linda got pregnant with Tomas. After she became pregnant Linda had been asking Kennan where their relationship was heading. Will he marry her? Support her and Tomas? No, he wanted her to get a job first then he'll talk about weddings. Linda had the baby, Tomas, a sweet beautiful boy. and wanted to stay home and take care of him. Kennan said no. Kennan is a control freak, especially where Linda is concerned.

Here's an example that sticks in my craw. Three years ago he gave her a car for Christmas, promising to fix it up and get it on the road for her. He got the car for free, it didn't run and needed some bodywork and tires. He talks Linda into buying another car for parts, uses a few parts and then sells the rest of the parts without giving her any of the money. Three years later the car still isn't running or on the road. How lame is that?

Linda decides he's not worth waiting for and asks Cassie and me if she can move back home until she can get a good job and get settled. So now Linda is living with us and seeing less and less of Kennan. Finally she tells Kennan she's had it with him and breaks it off. She wants Kenna to keep visiting his son and to build a relationship with him. Kennan comes over maybe once or twice a week and stays for only a little while. When he holds Tomas all the baby does is cry, Kennan doesn't have a clue as to how to care for him. So he leaves early. A few months ago Kennan filed for visitation rights. He and Linda went to Family Mediation this morning to work out the visits.

Here's the sad part, Linda has bent over backward to get Kennan here to build a relationship with his son. Kennan wants to have overnight visits with Tomas but after seeing how poorly he takes care of Tomas Linda doesn't want him to have that privilege. It's for Tomas' well-being, comfort and protection. Linda type a letter to read to the mediator and that dumb head took exception to it and threatened to sue Linda for custody. he doesn't give a rat's heiney for the boy's welfare only getting even.

There's a whole lot more to the story and it just keeps getting worse.

Ahhh it feels good to pound the keyboard and relieve some of the frustration I feel.
