Ole Brownie's in the shop!

Our van, affectionately called Old Brownie has been needing a tune up for the last 4000 miles. Due to financial woes Cassie and I have been putting it off in the hope that we would get it serviced when my pension checks started coming in. Alas that was not to be. Last Thursday night it was raining very hard, we had over 2 inches of rain dumped on us that day. That evening it was still coming down in buckets while I was picking Kristin up from her bowling league. I went through some wickedly ginormous puddles and thought that the car was going to stall. fortunately the only thing that got hurt was the check engine light came on.

Well today we brought Old Brownie in for service and I discovered that it wasn't so fortunate! I guess when I hit the puddle the cold water cracked the oxygen sensor. Andy, my mechanic called me to tell me the good news (good for him that is) a new sensor will cost me $288.00 plus whatever it's going to cost for the tuneup. This wouldn't be such bad news if I had received my pension check but no-oo these things never happen at a good time. Still, Cassie and I are trusting our Lord to see us through this trial like He has through all the others. Every time we have had special needs God has sent special people and or funds to get us through. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says; Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

So that's what we will do!
