What a great day to be alive!
I woke at 5:30 this morning with a terrible backache. I took two percocets and tried to get back to sleep, no good, I was wide awake. Ok, now what? I thought about it and decided to walk on our $1100.00 dreadmill that sits in the corner of our family room and gathers dust and kitty hairballs. So I threw on a pair of shorts, t-shirt and sneakers and went out and walked. I set a moderate pace and walked for twenty minutes which equates to a little more than three quarters of a mile. I thought that my back would be hurting even more than it did when I woke up but in fact it felt much better.
After my workout I had a coffee and some cool water and then settled down in the office to listen to some music and check my email. 8:00 I woke the kids up to finish raking up the leaves and decided that I would do another 20 minutes on the dreadmill. I'm tired but I feel great! I had a protean shake and now I'm ready to go!
Cassie has wanted to clean our bedroom and so I thought today would be a great day to help her do that, now I just have to wait for her to wake up.
Here's a cute cartoon that looks just like my first time on a dreadmill.
