F.L.O.W. For Love Of Water

I'm not much of an advocate for anything, but after moving into our home in Browns Mills, NJ I realize the precious need for cheap clean water. When we moved here six years ago we had terrible well water. It was brown with iron and ceder. The water stank like rotten eggs, it was difficult to bath in let alone drink or cook with it. The first water company we called tried to jury rig everything. We had to call him back every few months to fix the system, which he just jury rigged again, even though we requested a full replacement of our system. After three years of this continuing nightmare, a neighbor gave us the number of another water treatment company. We called All Safe Water Treatment. He did a great job and we have had great drinking water ever since. I used to hope that the town would supply us with city water, but I now realize how precious our well water is. We control it for now, not some big corporation or conglomerate who doesn't care about supplying clean safe water, just making a fortune.

I subscribe to Boing Boing's RSS feed and came across this article; For Love of Water: infuriating and incredible documentary about the world's water-crisis.
