It's been a long time!

I am a lazy Blogger.
Many times I have had inspiration to blog but just thought ahhh, I'll get to it later. and then I forget and lose the inspiration. My darling bride, Cassie posted three or four posts just this afternoon! Well it's not that there haven't been interesting and fun things to post about, such as some of the things going on at the job, at home, or on the road.
I drive forty six miles one way to work. I will always have some kind of altercation with a "discourteous Richard!" (also known as a left lane dick) Friday I had a miserable commute due to the rain in the morning turning to snow on the way to work. While I was at work the weather turned nastier with sleet and freezing rain. Everyone at the company bugged out at 2:30 to beat some of the traffic, but wouldn't you know it, everyone else in the State of New Jersey decided to also and they got right in front of me. My one and a half hour ride turned into an almost four hour nightmare.
two weeks ago I had some words with another sheet metal worker who was lambasting me about my field sketching skills. It got pretty heated! In fact the shop foreman thought it was going to turn physical. Fortunately for the two of us it didn't. I don't usually hold a grudge and don't with this guy but it seems that he is. and is wanting to get his buddy back into the company. The same guy who used to do what I am doing but got fired.
My grandson Tomas is still a real cutie and getting bigger all the time. He is making some very good progress at school and home (he is on the low end of the Autism scale) His dad has turned out to be a much more responsible parent then the person my daughter has made him out to be. It was wonderful to see Tomas get all excited and happy at the prospect of seeing his dad yesterday.
My other daughter in Tennessee is having a very tough time coping with her husbands disability. She is working two jobs to support the family. I worry all the time for her and her family. I miss my four Tennessee grandkiddies very much. I miss my daughter and her husband too.
The other day Cassie was shopping at our local Acme and came home to tell me that she saw a poster asking for someone to adopt a beautiful cat named Indigo. She asked me if she could adopt it and of course I said yes! We were finally able to contact the family that has the cat and we will be meeting Indigo today. If everything goes according to plan we will have a fourth cat in our family. Hey Fred (Cassie's Father-in-law from her first marriage) watch out! I'm catching up to you. Fred and Alberta have five kitties. Now we will have four cats, an A.D.D! (A Dumb Dog) and two adorable bunnies. OUr house is a veritable menagerie of pets and children.
It went well! We brought Indy (short for Indigo) home. The young women who gave her to us were very busy, always traveling and getting ready to move. They were very concerned about our taking good care of their uncle's cat, and so we will. Mouse and Kosmo seem a little upset at our new addition and Amber is curious but not willing to expose herself to us at this time to check Indy out. I hope they all get along.
