The man's side of it!

I am a very light sleeper and so I have to put the cats out of our bedroom at night. This is at odds with Cassie as she loves to have them in the bedroom when she is sleeping. Mouse, likes to sleep on one corner of the bed which would be ok with me if he would stay in the room all night. But no! He will whine to be let out when he feels the need to prowl. Amber likes to jump up on the bed and walk around on us. Cassie sleeps right through it but I wake up as soon as she (Amber) jumps up. I had no idea how Kozmo was at night yet but really didn't want to find out.

Last night as I came to bed I walked over to Kozmo sitting on the head of my reading chair to pet him, Cassie gos awww don't put him out. Ok, I said and went to bed. What a night! At 2:46 AM I wake up to Meeeeowrrrrr, meooooowww, over and over. Kozmo wants out! Cassie is sound asleep. Oh I forgot to mention, I think I broke a bone in my foot the other day and it hurts really bad to walk on it. I see a foot doctor today to find out what's going on with it. Anyway I drag my sleepy carcass out of bed and open the door for Kozmo to get out. In rushes one of the other cats. I'm not sure who because it's too dark to see anything but shadows, and the two cats start fighting! How Cassie can sleep through this ruckus I don't understand. So here it is almost three in the morning and I'm trying to catch the cats and toss them out of the bedroom. This created quite a racket but Cassie still didn't stir! I finally chased one of the cats out and the other hid under the bed. I was too tired to get down and shoo him out and so I went back to bed it was almost 3:30. I was awoken again by a scritching and scratching and a soft mewing at the door. The cat under the bed now wanted out at a quarter to five in the morning. I went back to bed and then at six AM my alarm went off! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I screamed! It was now time to wake Kristin up!

All through this "cat"erwaulin' commotion Cassie continued to sleep like a baby. How does she do it?

Tonight the cats will not sleep in our bedroom!!!!
