FAT FRIDAY AT THE VINCENTOWN DINER

Cassie and I decided that we felt well enough finally to leave the house and do some shopping. On the way to ShopRite we stopped at The Vincentown Diner. When we walked in, the very first thing we noticed was that almost everyone in the diner was overweight. And the place was way too hot. Now Cassie and I are people of weight ourselves, we are no lightweights, but the majority of the people consuming food there made us feel small in comparison, which was nice for a change. I wonder what the servers at the diner were thinking.
Cassie and I had a very nice brunch together, Cassie had a garden omelet and I had a chicken Panini samich. This samich was the bomb! It had grilled chicken breast, pesto, grilled portabella mushrooms and spinach on grilled panning bread. It was healthy and very tasty, my new personal favorite.
After the diner we had to make a stop at Wal-Mart to get something for Cassie’s PC and then hit the local ShopRite to do some food shopping. While we were there I got a call from Heidi (we sent a message to the school for Heidi to call us on my cell if she didn’t have her keys with her) and sure enough she didn’t her keys. So we said that Kristin would be home soon and she will have her keys, and we were going to be home soon anyway and the weather was nice.

Cassie is still a little under the weather and hasn’t gotten her energy back yet, so we cut the shopping trip short and headed for home. When we got home both girls were in the house and we assumed Kristin had her key to let them in. Then a little later Heidi say that when she tried to open the window the screen just fell out (Oh did I forget to mention that was the screen Kristin tore up when she was locked out and forgot her key!) Cassie and I put two and two together and figured out that Heidi and Kristin both forgot their keys and once again climbed through the window, (it is supposed to be locked when no one is home) to get in. Then when we confronted them they lied, lied, and lied.
Shame on them for;
1. Forgetting their keys,
2. Ripping the screen off the window and climbing through instead of waiting a half hour for us to get home.
3. For lying to us and thinking we were too stupid to figure this out.
Heidi is going to turn 18 soon, I hope she gets into a good college or finds an apartment to share with a friend because the stress she causes us is going to go away one way or another.

By the way; The Vincentown Diner @RT 38 and RT 206 in Vincentown, NJ has great food and great prices. It is a non-smoking establishment (has been even before it was P.C.) The menu is top notch and our favorite diner. My two favorite menu items are the chicken panini samich and the broiled combination seafood platter. YUM!

My wife and I enjoy your salmon, but please upgrade your bread to the whole wheat with seeds, maybe even fresh baked raisin and nut bread.

Please consider using soybean oil that is the no trans fat type. We all wish to live and eat at your place for a very long time into our retirement years to come.

Thanks,
Gary
