999 Channels and nothing on!

We have Comcast Digital Cable with the built in DVR. Linda was surfing through the channel guide and declared to me, "Over 900 channels and there's nothing on!" Cassie and I spend over a hundred dollars each month on cable with the 2 digital boxes and the Internet connection. I am continuously amazed by the lack of good movies to view. The regular TV shows are even worse.
It seems that just when I get find a show worth watching, it gets canceled or they only produce a few shows in the Fall then go to re-runs all Summer long.
